Tinctures
When you begin taking CBD, we recommend that you start small and slowly increase your dose until you find the right dose for you. It is important to remember that everyone is different and will react to CBD in a slightly different way. CBD is a very personal experience, what works for your friend may or may not work for you. It may take a little time to experience the full effects of CBD.
If you are taking CBD for the first time, start with 10mgs, 1-2 times a day. Stay with this dose for 3-4 days before increasing your dose. Your body needs to get used to CBD before you can accurately figure out “your dose”.
In this way, you can figure out the right dose without taking more than is necessary.
To aid in this process it may be helpful to keep a journal. Each morning, write down the dose you are taking and frequency. Record how you feel and rate the issues you are trying to address on a scale from 1-10. 1 being hardly notable to 10 being unbearable. Each night, tune into your body and rate your issues again and note the changes. In this way, you can dial into what works best for your body in a short period of time.
For Oil Tinctures, you can administer directly into your mouth. For Alcohol-Based Tinctures, it is recommended to add them to a small amount of water first.
You can take CBD on a full or empty stomach but keep in mind that this will affect how fast the CBD will be absorbed into your bloodstream.
Herbal tinctures work best when taken frequently throughout the day. We recommend starting with 30 drops (1 dropperful) 2-3 times a day for all of all blends except Lavender Dream. Stay at this dose for 4 or 5 days before altering. If you feel like you need a higher dose you can take two dropperfuls at a time or take one dropperful more often.
Also, check with your doctor if you have any medical conditions or are on any medication.

Topicals
CBD topicals have become highly popular because they are simple and straightforward to use. While the application method may vary slightly depending on the type of topical product you choose, most only require that you rub the product into the skin of the specific area you wish to target. Depending on the consistency of your CBD topical product, you may need to take a few extra seconds to rub it into your skin, but most are fairly quick to absorb. Typically, CBD topicals are part of a daily regimen rather than selected for one-time or irregular use.
Types of CBD Topicals
The term “CBD topicals” actually encompasses a wide range of product types, offering a variety of options to suit your lifestyle and personal preferences. There is no “best” type of CBD topical; instead, each one offers distinct characteristics that may or may not fit with your interests.
Here are a handful of the most common types of topical CBD products for sale on the market today:
- CBD CREAM
Our Full Spectrum CBD creams have a thicker, more luxurious texture than thinner lotions. They contain a higher oil content (as compared to the water contained in lotions), which is why it has a slightly heavier weight and texture. Creams work well for deep moisturizing and enable you to massage the cream into your skin longer than with lotion. - CBD LOTION
Lotions tend to be slightly more lightweight than creams, quickly absorbing into the skin without leaving any residue. Their thinner texture is due to a higher percentage of water, versus the increased oil found in creams and other thicker products. Our CBD lotions are made with Full Spectrum CBD and botanical extracts. - CBD SALVE
Salves are an oil and beeswax-based topical ointment that promote healing and protect the skin. Our salves are hand-made in small batches using Full Spectrum CBD extract. We use time-honored traditional methods to infuse organic, cold-pressed oils with a variety of medicinal plants for added therapeutic uses.
